Leadership opportunities with Ventures Travel
Ventures Travel service provides vacation opportunities for a mix of individuals who travel together for a period of 3 to 10 days.  Volunteer and paid positions are available year-round.  Trip destinations are throughout the United States with most trips departing from the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis/St. Paul.  Our best candidates exhibit an adventuresome spirit, sound reasoning skills, attention to safety & details, and have a desire to provide a memorable vacation experience to our travelers.

Leaders and guides are responsible for the overall safety and enjoyment of their group, 24 hours a day, while on a Ventures trip.  Duties include safety monitoring, providing physical and emotional support, oversee health care, activity planning, budgeting, written summaries of each traveler's experience and most importantly enhancing fun.  Most groups travel by 15 passenger van which does not require a special license, although the driver must meet agency requirements.  The work, at times, is hard yet immensely rewarding as you develop leadership skills and gain insight into your own abilities. Travel leaders must be at least 21 years old, valid driver's license and have a good driving record.  Certifications in medication administration, CPR, and First Aid helpful...training available.  College major in a related field is preferred, experience with people with developmental or physical disabilities is an equally valuable.  Must be able and willing to assist with direct-care needs of travelers, be physically strong and mentally alert; strong & effective communication skills.
